Indicate maximum charging capacity

Avatar
Patrick

My car can do max 7kW (1-fase, 32A), but the charger is capped to max 5kW because of load balancing. Perhaps add an option what the max charging capacity at home is so Jedlix can use this to calculate the amount of time required to fully charge.

Hi Hans, thanks for the suggestion!

unfortunately for the car model you have selected, we can only pause/resume the charging process. The car technically does not allow us to limit the charge power to 3 kW.

What you can do is to set the Minimum Solar Power in advanced settings to a higher number.

With this setting, you can set a minimum percentage of Charge Power that has to be covered by the Solar PV before the algorithm may use it to choose the best moments to charge your car.
When this percentage is not reached, the algorithm will pretend no solar power is available at all.

An example: Imagine you have an 11 kW charger at home. If your Minimum Solar Power setting is 5%, the algorithm will only schedule the Charge Process in those moments that the Solar Panels produce at least 0.55 kW or 550 Watt. Otherwise, it will just use the lowest tariffs.

Hope that helps!
